Port is certainly not the only wine gem coming out of Portugal these days. The country is an often-overlooked treasure trove of indigenous grape varietals, 500 varietals to be exact, each of which produces wines of lovely distinction and personality. With such emphasis on quality and uniqueness, Portugal is becoming a major player in the international wine market, currently ranked 8th in wine production and consumption. Class II: Powerhouse

Who wouldn't love to sink their teeth into a glass of powerful and decadent red wine this time of year? This class will showcase wines from all over the world that have embraced a long-cherished style: rich, bold and complex. However, not all powerhouse reds are created equally. Come enjoy the different styles of full bodied reds from around the world, from fruit-driven and oaky California Cabs to rustic and fierce Barolos.
Class III: Wines of the French Rhone: A world of
variety in one tiny valley

Separated into two very distinct sub-regions, Northern Rhone and Southern Rhone, the wines of France's Rhone Valley are the most beautifully intense and untamed in the world. With 23 different grape varietals permitted for use and wine styles ranging from fun and fruity to deep and earthy, this tiny valley in the Southeast of France is guaranteed to have something for everyone. Don't miss the opportunity to come learn about this wild and adventurous region, which happens to be our Sommelier's favorite!
Class IV: Champagne and Sparkling Wines
Saturday, December 6th, 4 PM to 6 PM - $70.00
What better way to kick off the holiday season than a bubbly tasting? At this class, we will showcase bubbles from around the world, starting with light and delicate sparklers from Italy and Spain and ending with the most revered of all, Champagne. You will have the opportunity to learn about not only the many different styles of this celebratory cocktail, but also the in depth and complicated process that makes it so truly adored.
